Valicia (Val) Kirby, RN, BSM,CCRP, has worked in nursing for
over 30 years in a variety of positions. For the past 16 years, Val has managed
and staffed a cardiac rehab department in a critical access hospital in rural
Missouri. Having served on the board of
directors of the Missouri and Kansas Association for Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation
for the past 9 years, Val is currently the Standards and Issues chair
person. Responsibilities of this
position include keeping members informed of latest CMS guidelines for cardiac
and pulmonary rehab. An active member of
the American Association of Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Val serves on
the J5 MAC committee.
